Florence (2024) was a graduation film I had the opportunity to work on during my third year.
My design was inspired by liminal spaces, those eerie, transitional environments that feel neither here nor there. For the fictional Grief Centre, we aimed to make everything feel subtly off, from the unsettling emptiness of the space to the colour palette, which was drawn from the shifting hues of bruises, purples, greens, and yellows, to echo the emotional stages of grief. I also created a range of in-world graphics to help build the identity of the centre and add depth to the environment. In total, I designed, sourced and dressed the Waiting Room, Casting Room, Bathroom, Angels’ Room, Waiting Room, and the hallways.
