Jardin Extraordinaire

Illustration booklet about a (not so) ordinary Parisian park

This is a Leporello which sings us the song of Charles Trenet, “Jardin Extraordinaire”, along with rather strange illustrations which I created during two weeks of observing a particular park in Paris. The park itself may not be extraordinary, but the longer I looked, the more things I found.

This showed me that even the most ordinary things are somewhat special, it just depends on how you look at them, and the longer you look at this leporello, the more things you’ll find.

My choice of colour, the format of a single vinyl from the 1950s and the font are all inspired by the time Charles Trenet was at his highest success in Paris back then.
